As energy demands rise, the natural environment changes, and new energy technologies rapidly approach commercialization, our future energy infrastructures are going to be dramatically different from what exists in the present. Through this project, we aim to build energy literacy and energy democracy by carrying out large-scale visioning and speculative design of energy infrastructures of the future with youth, communities, citizen scientists, and technology experts.

As an initial step, we are building a community-sourced idea bank of energy facilities and infrastructure of the future to inspire the work of energy technology developers and researchers.
